W07 Reflection: Entrepreneurial Journal
What stood out to me the most in this week’s study was the talk given by Thomas S Monson “An Attitude of Gratitude”.
First and foremost, it is important to have gratitude to God. He has given us everything we have including life. We should always express gratitude to God even when times are tough.
Next, we should give gratitude to our parents. Our earthly parents have played a similar role in raising and giving us everything in our youth. They play a pivotal role in our development and well-being. I know I wouldn’t be who I am today without my parents.
Next, we should give gratitude to our teachers. Teachers teach us how to learn. I know I have had many great teachers in my life. One in particular was my young men’s president. He was pivotal in developing my testimony and being prepared to serve a mission. He not only taught us, but he cared deeply for us. We knew he always had our back and wanted what was best for us.
Next, we should have gratitude for our friends. Friends not only enrich our lives but help us become our best selves. When you pick good friends that have similar beliefs you can really build each other up. I know the friendships we had were pivotal in most of us serving a mission and supporting each other as we went out one by one.
Finally, we should have gratitude for our country and the people that risk their lives to protect it. I am extremely grateful to live in a country where I am free. I am grateful for those who have given their lives and time to defend the country. We all should recognize these sacrifices and be grateful for them. In conclusion, gratitude not only brings joy and enriches our lives, but it promotes peace and happiness. As I practice gratitude in my life I am happier and more aware of all the blessings I have.
